A new Wills Month is being launched by Chesterfield FC Community Trust and legal firm BRM following the success of last year’s campaign – which raised over £11,000.

The Chesterfield and Sheffield-based legal firm will be offering its professional Will writing services throughout February in exchange for a voluntary donation to the Trust.

The funds will help support the Trust’s various charitable programmes, including youth engagement projects and activities, community wellbeing programmes and initiatives, social and exercise clubs for older adults.

This is the second year in a row Chesterfield FC Community Trust and BRM have partnered to run the Wills Month campaign, which raised £11,390 in 2025.

From 1st to 28th February, 2026, BRM will waive their usual Will writing fee in favour of a voluntary donation to the trust – with a suggested £75 for a single Will or £150 for a mirror Will. However, donations of all sizes are welcome.

Donations support programmes including:
£10 donation will pay for a participant to attend an Affected By Cancer support group.
£25 contribution will provide the materials to deliver literacy, numeracy and wellbeing sessions in primary schools.
£75 would fund a one-to-one social prescribing session for a young person to receive mental health support.
£100 provides a place for a child on Camp Inspire – the trust’s holiday provision for young people with special educational needs.
£150 would pay for a pan disability team to enter a regional tournament.
£200 funds a full session for the Spireites In Mind Dementia support group, for former professional footballers.

As well as annual Wills Months, BRM is a Gold Friend of Chesterfield FC Community Trust, showing the legal firm’s commitment to supporting their services.

Leading the campaign at BRM’s Chesterfield office are executive directors Rob Woodhead and Paul Berresford.

Rob said: “We are excited to launch our second Wills Month campaign in support of Chesterfield FC Community Trust.

“Their wide-range of programmes and initiatives benefit so many in our community – from young people to older adults – and we are delighted to do our bit to support their work.”

Paul added: “As a Chesterfield-based employer, it’s a privilege to support an organisation that does so much for those living in the town and surrounding area.

“Anyone considering making a Will can register their interest with BRM ahead of the campaign in February, knowing their voluntary donation will help fund programmes that benefit so many in our community.”

Keith Jackson, deputy head of community for Chesterfield FC Community Trust, said: “The Will Month kindly offered by BRM generates much needed income for the charity.

“The money raised directly goes towards projects for people affected by cancer, those who have a dementia diagnosis, and supports our Christmas project delivering food hampers to children in Chesterfield.

“Last year’s Will Month raised enough to fund a year’s worth of sessions for our Military Veterans Group, Buddy Buddy. Without the support of local businesses, the Trust would be restricted in the impact that we are able to have, so by completing a Will during February at BRM and making a donation, your kindness will be directly changing lives in the local community. “
