The Trust has received positive feedback from partner school Lenthall Infant and Nursery School following a recent visit from Spireites stars Armando Dobra, Lewis Gordon and Janoi Donacien.
Headteacher, Kerry Moody spoke about the success of the afternoon. She said: “It was a huge success, with both staff and children absolutely buzzing with engagement and enthusiasm.
“Dobra, Gordon and Donacien were absolutely brilliant with the children and really got stuck into the challenges. I think they may have earned themselves a few more fans!”
Kerry continued to speak about the impact of becoming a CFCCT partner school, saying: “It makes me feel so proud to have my school supported by the Trust, but believe me when I say you go above and beyond in the support you offer your partner schools.
“The Trust’s continued support and participation is very much appreciated. I am truly grateful for the impact you all have on the children within my school.”
Elise Dawson, of Lenthall Infant and Nursery School, spoke immediately after the visit. She said: “It was really a fun experience, all the players that came were really engaged, and they were really good with the children.
“It’s good exposure for the children that don’t normally get the chance to go to a football game, even though they play football in the playground, to find out a little bit more about Chesterfield Football Club and how they could become a football player as well.”
Also commenting on the perks of being a CFCCT partner school, Elise said: “We get a highly qualified coach, and they come in every week to teach and lead our PE sessions. We also get continued professional development training, so we’re also learning from the Trust, and then we get fantastic opportunities like this when the players come in.”
