The Trust’s Olly Parkinson is on the final stretch of his fundraising challenge to cover the length of Lands’ End to John O’Groats, with just 100 miles remaining and an end goal of March 11.
Speaking about how the challenge has gone so far, Olly said: “It has taken me longer than I would’ve hoped due to unforeseen circumstances. However, I am now on the last stretch.
“I would like to again thank everybody who has kindly donated their money and those who have supported me from afar or completed some of the distance with me, it is much appreciated!
“I plan to leave ten miles to do on March 11 so that I can invite all the people who have donated money/supported me on my challenge to come down to the SMH Group Stadium and either join me or sit in the stands and cheer me on whilst I complete the challenge by doing laps of the pitch.
“The money I have raised will be split 50/50, with half going to the Senior Spireites group at the Trust and half to Cancer Research.
“I would love to see as many people at the stadium as possible. It would be great to be in the company of those who have supported me whilst I complete the challenge.”
