Chesterfield FC Community Trust proudly delivers a comprehensive programme of school football leagues and events across Chesterfield and Northeast Derbyshire in partnership with the SHAPE Learning Partnership.
Our goal is to inspire participation, develop skills, and create progression pathways for children and young people through the power of football.
School Sport Events (Competition Leagues)
Our school leagues form the foundation of our football offer, giving pupils the chance to compete, represent their schools, with many leagues feeding into regional or national pathways.
Current Leagues:
- Year 3 & 4 Mixed League
- Year 3 & 4 Girls League
- Premier League Primary Stars Year 5 & 6 Girls League
- Utilita Year 5 & 6 Mixed League
- Year 7 & 8 Secondary Girls League
- Year 9 & 10 Secondary Girls League
Cup Competitions
Our cup events offer exciting knockout-style formats and opportunities for progression.
Current Cups:
- Utilita Girls Cup (Year 7 & 8)
- Year 9 & 10 Girls Cup
- Spireites Cup (Year 5 & 6 Girls and Mixed)
National Pathway Events
Selected leagues and cups offer progression to county and national stages, giving talented young players the chance to shine on a bigger stage.
- Year 5 & 6 Girls League → ESFA County Finals & PLPS Girls Cup
- Year 5 & 6 Mixed League → ESFA County Finals & Utilita Mixed Cup
- Utilita Girls Cup (Year 7 & 8) → Progression to next round of national competition
Inclusive & Development Events
We’re committed to making football accessible and enjoyable for all learners through our inclusive festivals and skill-building sessions.
Our Development Events Include :
- Year 3 & 4 Connect Events
Focused on skill development and social mixing, helping children meet new friends through football. - Year 5 & 6 Think Events
Designed to build tactical awareness and support progression into grassroots football. - KS1 Enrichment Festival
A fun, engaging introduction to football for younger children, developing fundamental movement skills and confidence.
