Some fans with disabilities need assistance or support dogs, so we make the SMH Group Stadium a comfortable place for four-legged visitors.
Walker, a puppy expected to become a support dog for a child with autism, came to Saturday’s game against Crewe Alexandra.
Craig Hodgson is a volunteer undertaking the socialisation for Walker before he becomes old enough to start his training.
Walker is one of many dogs being trained by the Sheffield-based charity Support Dogs UK. The dogs from the charity support those with autism or physical disabilities. Some become seizure alert dogs that alert those with epilepsy up to an hour before a seizure.
We welcome support dogs in all parts of the stadium. We also allow complimentary match tickets to support training and socialisation of assistance dogs.
