Charlotte Owen from Chester’s Den recently completed a skydive to raise funds for Buddy Buddy, the Trust’s dedicated veterans programme, bringing together ex-service personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Speaking on why she took on the challenge, Charlotte explained: “I’ve got a personal connection with Buddy Buddy, so I used to bring my granddad every month down to it throughout, even till the very end; he loved it throughout, and we wanted to continue supporting that because of the friendships made, you could see that it was a great group.”

The deadline for donations passed on Saturday, August 8, and Charlotte managed to raise a total of £1,000 for Buddy Buddy.

Following the experience, Charlotte admitted: “I’d want to do another one. I was nervous at the beginning, but as soon as you did it, I wanted to do it again.”

Finally, Charlotte discussed where the funds could help the group, saying: “I’m gonna go and visit the group, hopefully at the end of this month, to see where we could go, but hopefully a day out for them. We’ve just been to Eden Camp, so hopefully another big day out for the whole group.”
