There is a vacancy for an education manager at the Trust, based at the HUB at the SMH Group Stadium.
The role of education manager within the senior leadership team will be critical to the successful delivery and continued growth of the service and projects delivered to children and young people by Chesterfield FC Community Trust.
The successful candidate will use the influence of sport and football to deliver positive change in the lives of students in respect of their education.
The education manager will be responsible for and lead the day-to-day operation, co-ordination, development and delivery of a number of programmes namely: the Primary Education Department, Football and Education, Alternative Provision and Supported Internships. This will include responsibility for allocated staff teams.
The role will be crucial in creating an inclusive environment, promoting participation, and ensuring the success of these initiatives. Seeking further opportunities for the department and maintaining key stakeholder relationships. The education manager will work closely with other senior colleagues of the Trust and be line managed by the deputy head of community in the senior leadership team.
The Trust is on the cusp of a significant period of growth in the Football and Education Department, including a Higher Education offer and up to 20 new students at NCFE Level 3 in the 2025/26 academic year. The role will be at the operational forefront of this growth.
The Primary Education team continues to experience growth across the district, with varied sessions being delivered across up to eight different schools per day. In addition, there is a thriving tournaments programme, Soccer School and Women and Girls section.
Thr1ve Alternative Provision is in a period of sustainability, with new Leadership developing a high-quality offer in partnership with a local Academy Trust. This department will be looking for strategic development around enhancing the positive experience students have. Supported internships are the sixth form students of a SEND Academy School, who require work experience on a weekly basis. The education manager will be responsible for developing and managing this project.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an education setting, along with an ability to manage a number of varied projects across the spectrum of ages and abilities.
