The Youth Diversion team have been talking to the care experienced young people about opportunities that the Trust can provide them with.

From attending some of the sessions that the Trust can offer – including free Premier League Kicks sessions – and the support the Spireites Youth Hub can offer, from courses and qualifications to pathways to higher education or employment.

Ryan Cheshire, community officer at the Trust, explained: “We have also been able to support the Derbyshire County Council Leaving Care team in attending one of their weekly sessions at Queen’s Park.

“A member of the Youth Diversion team was able to offer a small training session for the participants before their showcase game of North vs South care experienced young people.

“Finally, the young people were invited to the SMH Group Stadium to experience a stadium tour and got to see the National League trophy, along with an in-depth look at the stadium facilities and how accessible the stadium facilities and Community Trust are.”
