Spireites defender Chey Dunkley was awarded the 2025/26 PFA Community Champion award by the Community Trust at Chesterfield FC’s End of Season Awards.

Dunkley picked up the award for his for his commitments to arranging and supporting the squad’s weekly visits out in the community.

Recent visits have taken place at CFCCT Partner Schools and at the Trust’s programmes, such as Camp Inspire, Football Camps and Knit & Natter.

After receiving his award, Dunkley said: “I am delighted to win the PFA Community Champion Award.

“Our work in the community bridges the gap between our supporters and the club, which ultimately can help with support and success on the pitch.

“Through my years as a player I have attended schools, hospices and clubs as one offs; but at our Club I feel there is a massive emphasis and effort weekly to keep community engagement high, which is testament to the Community Trust staff.”
